Description

I redesigned my old TF character! chronosabyss.deviantart.com/ar… He got a new name and everything. His old one was way too similar to a few of the canon characters.

It took a long time and I still might make a few changes (The helmet on the marker drawing is already outdated...), but I am pleased enough to share it here. :)

~~~
"Efficiency is key."
Designation: Mulhall (Sometimes Hall for short)
Alt Mode: A pleasure yacht roughly 50 ft. long. Previously had a Cybertronian hovercraft mode to traverse across those pesky landmasses.
Weapon(s): Both forearms convert into standard blasters. Often uses his anchor and chain as a melee weapon. The railings on his arms are excellent for defending physical blows.
Size: VII
Universe: Prime
Primary Class Function: Tactician
Secondary Class Function: N/A
Subroutine Function: Sometimes leads small exploration teams.
Personality:
Mulhall is kind of a modern day cowboy. While he's not your standard lone Texas ranger, he is extremely stubborn and has a hard time taking orders from those he does not respect. He also harbors an adventurous spirit and has a bit of a temper.
Not tough enough to be a hardened soldier, nor small or quick enough to be espionage, his main strength lies in tactics and finding solutions to problems. He is quick to strategize, but unlike many tacticians before him, his underlying arrogance and aversion to compromising with others keeps him from leading anything more than a few bots at a time.
Hall is sure of his actions and rarely goes back on his decisions once they're made. While he attempts to follow orders dutifully, he often ends up skirting the rules and will complete the mission in whatever way that he deems to be most effective. If he sees that something can be done better, he will have a hard time holding his tongue against it. Even if his idea is shot down there's a good chance he might end up doing it anyways if he’s convinced that it's the best course of action. In turn, he'll get a bit testy and defensive when others question his choices.
He will seldom admit an attachment to anyone, but in the heat of battle he always comes through in a pinch, showing he actually does care whether or not you get blown to smithereens. In a normal setting, he is typically friendly until something gets on his nerves, sometimes striking up a random conversation or two to get to know you.
He admires hard work, but isn't against relaxing once everything's said and done. Just don't be sleeping on the job.
Reason for Joining Decepticons:
Mulhall used to be a member of the Autobots until he finally got fed up with their ‘Oh so noble’ philosophies of war and society. After a Public Display of Aggression during a particularly grating political gathering, Hall escaped detainment to join the Decepticon ranks where he felt he could have more freedoms. He also thinks the Decepticons just plain have the better army and therefore a good chance of winning the war. Hey, who wouldn’t want to be a part of the winning team?
Some bots still love to question Hall's loyalties just to aggravate him, often bringing up his still blue optics as a sign that his spark is still with the Autobots. He then points angrily to the insignia in the middle of his forehead and shouts that he’s been here for longer than some bots have even been online, and that they should just shut up or get out.
Other:
- One of his closest guarded secrets is that while on Earth he became good friends with a human named Herschel. During their time together they traveled the seas and had many adventures for about 13 years. He kept the man's captain's hat as a memento.
- His age in human years would probably fall around mid to late 30s.
- Hall is suspicious of politicians and is slightly uncomfortable around doctors. He doesn’t like the notion of a bot who knows more about his insides than he does.
- As much as he loves Cybertron, Hall misses all the bodies of water that Earth had to offer. He likes being a boat, even if it's not the most practical alt-mode.
- Hates being cooped up inside for too long.
- Has excellent spatial awareness when it comes to mental map making, causing him to almost never get lost.
- Speaks with a slight Texan accent and mannerisms.
- His lower legs usually have a film of dried scum on them from forming the hull of his boat mode.
- Lucille is the name written on the side of his boat form. Named after Lucille Mulhall, a rodeo queen in the early 1900's. All earth boats are considered female after all. ;p
